As Senior Partner of Wellington Realty, Ben Onderdonk brings over 17 years of commercial real estate experience to the table. Ben began his career with Equis Corporation (now part of Cushman & Wakefield) in Dallas, in a business development and transaction management role. During his three years there, Ben sourced and attended over 50 sales meetings in his first year as well as after 9/11, managed the roll-out of Transportation Security Administration offices, including the negotiation of 25 office and airport leases in 5 states in a 5-month span. Ben joined Mohr Partners in 2004 and enjoyed a successful career there for over 13 years. Ben received three promotions with progressive levels of responsibility and team management and was a recipient of the Mohr Ambassador Award. Ben managed a team of 12 account/transaction managers and was the client relationship manager for 17 accounts with a combined 3,200+ locations and 31.5 M sf.
Ben has personally negotiated 540+ lease, sale and BTS transactions ranging from 100-400,000 sf of office and industrial space in 46 states and 6 countries. Some of Ben’s noteworthy transactions include a 400,000 sf industrial BTS, 200,612 sf office expansion and extension, a 190,000 sf office lease extension (Washington Business Journal Best Real Estate Deals of 2012-Runner Up-Lease Renewal Category), a 160,000 sf industrial BTS, a 109,170 sf office BTS and a 90,000 sf industrial BTS. Ben’s hobbies include exercising and traveling when not spending time with his wife and four children.
